As the first international Lighting Design course in Asia, this course provides a unique opportunity for local architects, interior designers, product designers, engineers and relevant professionals to be specialized in high demand fields of architectural lighting and lighting product development. The design of lighting, both daylight and artificial light, addressed in this course embraces a holistic approach where human’s response to light and lighting technology are considered together with aesthetic and architectural values.

The course is delivered through lectures and design projects as well as hands-on workshops and study trips to local and international sites. Students with good performance will be able to participate in the exchange program with the lighting course at University of Technology, Business and Design – Wismar, Germany. The state-of-the-art artificial sky and lighting design application laboratory will also be at disposal of the course in the near future.
